IUF, EFFAT-IUF, SEIU and UGT vs. NBIM

The parties reached an agreement on 9 March 2022. The agreement is published together with the final statement of the NCP.

The submission from four trade unions concerned allegations of gender-based violence and harassment in McDonald’s and related due diligence by two institutional investors: APG Asset Management (APG) and Norges Bank Investment Management (NBIM).

The submitters were the International Union of Food, Agricultural, Hotel, Restaurant, Catering, Tobacco and Allied Workers’ Associations (IUF), European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Trade Unions (EFFAT-IUF), Service Employees International Union (SEIU) and União Geral dos Trabalhadores (UGT).

The US NCP handled the specific instance concerning McDonald’s, and the Dutch NCP handled the specific instance relating to the Dutch investor APG.

The Norwegian NCP has handled the specific instance relating to NBIM. The parties reached an agreement on 9 March 2022. Status: Concluded with joint statement.
